[206] Seeing the sign of form (rūpanimitta) as a danger, because of being resolved upon the signless (animitta), having looked on with equanimity (upekkhā) at occurrence (pavatta), having adverted to cessation (nirodha), Nibbāna, the signless, he attains: this is the signless attainment (animittā samāpatti). Seeing the wish for form (rūpapaṇidhi) as a danger, because of being resolved upon the wishless (appaṇihita), having looked on with equanimity at occurrence, having adverted to cessation, Nibbāna, the wishless, he attains: this is the wishless attainment (appaṇihitā samāpatti). Seeing adherence to form (rūpābhinivesa) as a danger, because of being resolved upon emptiness (suññata), having looked on with equanimity at occurrence, having adverted to cessation, Nibbāna, the empty, he attains: this is the emptiness attainment (suññatā samāpatti).
