Seeing the sign of aging-and-death as fearful, through being resolved upon the signless (animitta), touching and touching again, one sees dissolution: this is the signless abiding (animitto vihāro). Seeing the wishful inclination (paṇidhi) toward aging-and-death as fearful, through being resolved upon the wishless (appaṇihita), touching and touching again, one sees dissolution: this is the wishless abiding (appaṇihito vihāro). Seeing the adherence (abhinivesa) to aging-and-death as fearful, through being resolved upon emptiness (suññata), touching and touching again, one sees dissolution: this is the empty abiding (suññato vihāro).
