Yuganaddhavaggabojjhaṅgakathā

[568] They are factors of awakening (bojjhaṅga) because they awaken to the faith faculty (saddhindriya) in the sense of resolution (adhimokkha) … because they awaken to the wisdom faculty (paññindriya) in the sense of seeing. They are factors of awakening because they awaken to the power of faith in the sense of unshakability by faithlessness … because they awaken to the power of wisdom in the sense of unshakability by ignorance (avijjā). They are factors of awakening because they awaken to the awakening factor of mindfulness in the sense of establishment … because they awaken to the awakening factor of equanimity in the sense of reflection. They are factors of awakening because they awaken to right view in the sense of seeing … because they awaken to right concentration (samādhi) in the sense of non-distraction. They are factors of awakening because they awaken to the faculty in the sense of dominance; they are factors of awakening because they awaken to the power in the sense of unshakability; they are factors of awakening because they awaken to the meaning of leading out; they are factors of awakening because they awaken to the path in the sense of cause; they are factors of awakening because they awaken to the establishment of mindfulness (satipaṭṭhāna) in the sense of establishment; they are factors of awakening because they awaken to right striving in the sense of exertion; they are factors of awakening because they awaken to the bases of spiritual power (iddhipāda) in the sense of succeeding; they are factors of awakening because they awaken to truth in the sense of being real; they are factors of awakening because they awaken to serenity in the sense of non-distraction; they are factors of awakening because they awaken to insight in the sense of contemplation; they are factors of awakening because they awaken to serenity-and-insight in the sense of single function; they are factors of awakening because they awaken to the coupled (yuganaddha) in the sense of not overrunning each other; they are factors of awakening because they awaken to purification of virtue in the sense of restraint; they are factors of awakening because they awaken to purification of mind (citta) in the sense of non-distraction; they are factors of awakening because they awaken to purification of view in the sense of seeing; they are factors of awakening because they awaken to liberation (vimokkha) in the sense of being freed; they are factors of awakening because they awaken to true knowledge (vijjā) in the sense of penetration; they are factors of awakening because they awaken to deliverance (vimutti) in the sense of relinquishment; they are factors of awakening because they awaken to knowledge (ñāṇa) of destruction in the sense of cutting off; they are factors of awakening because they awaken to knowledge of non-arising in the sense of tranquilization; they are factors of awakening because they awaken to zeal in the sense of root; they are factors of awakening because they awaken to attention in the sense of origination; they are factors of awakening because they awaken to contact in the sense of combining; they are factors of awakening because they awaken to feeling (vedanā) in the sense of meeting place; they are factors of awakening because they awaken to concentration in the sense of being foremost; they are factors of awakening because they awaken to mindfulness in the sense of dominance; they are factors of awakening because they awaken to wisdom in the sense of being higher than that; they are factors of awakening because they awaken to deliverance in the sense of core; they are factors of awakening because they awaken to Nibbāna, which merges in the Deathless, in the sense of consummation.
