[618] "'This is the contemplation of the body in the body (kāye kāyānupassanā)': thus, bhikkhus, with regard to dhammas unheard before, the eye (cakkhu) arose in me … light arose. 'That very contemplation of the body in the body is to be developed': thus, bhikkhus, … 'has been developed': thus, bhikkhus, with regard to dhammas unheard before, the eye arose in me … light arose. … 'This … in feelings (vedanā) …' … 'This … in the mind (citta) …' … 'This is the contemplation of dhammas in dhammas': thus, bhikkhus, with regard to dhammas unheard before, the eye arose in me … light arose. 'That very contemplation of dhammas in dhammas is to be developed': thus, bhikkhus, … 'has been developed': thus, bhikkhus, with regard to dhammas unheard before, the eye arose in me … light arose. "'This is the contemplation of the body in the body': with regard to dhammas unheard before, the eye arose … light arose. 'That very contemplation of the body in the body is to be developed' … 'has been developed': with regard to dhammas unheard before, the eye arose … light arose. "'The eye arose': in what sense? … 'Light arose': in what sense? … 'The eye arose': in the sense of seeing … 'Light arose': in the sense of illumination. The eye is a dhamma; the sense of seeing is its meaning … light is a dhamma; the sense of illumination is its meaning. These five dhammas and five meanings have the body as their basis and the establishment of mindfulness (satipaṭṭhāna) as their basis … have feeling as their basis and the establishment of mindfulness as their basis; have the mind as their basis and the establishment of mindfulness as their basis; have dhammas as their basis and the establishment of mindfulness as their basis; they have the establishment of mindfulness as their object, the establishment of mindfulness as their domain; they are included in the establishment of mindfulness, comprised within the establishment of mindfulness; they have come together in the establishment of mindfulness, they stand in the establishment of mindfulness, they are established in the establishment of mindfulness. "'The wheel of Dhamma (dhammacakka)': in what sense is it the wheel of Dhamma? He sets in motion both the Dhamma and the wheel: thus it is the wheel of Dhamma. He sets in motion both the wheel and the Dhamma: thus it is the wheel of Dhamma. He sets it in motion by means of the Dhamma: thus it is the wheel of Dhamma. He sets it in motion by righteous conduct (dhammacariyā): thus it is the wheel of Dhamma. Standing in the Dhamma, he sets it in motion: thus it is the wheel of Dhamma. Established in the Dhamma, he sets it in motion: thus it is the wheel of Dhamma. … Nibbāna, which merges in the Deathless (amatogadha), is a dhamma in the sense of being the consummation; he sets that dhamma in motion: thus it is the wheel of Dhamma."
