[635] What is the empty as empty (suññasuññaṃ)? The eye is empty of self, or of what belongs to self, or of what is permanent, or of what is stable, or of what is eternal, or of what is not subject to change. The ear is empty … The nose is empty, the tongue is empty, the body is empty, the mind is empty of self, or of what belongs to self, or of what is permanent, or of what is stable, or of what is eternal, or of what is not subject to change. This is the empty as empty.
