Suttapiṭaka · Khuddakanikāya · Paṭisambhidāmagga · Vol. 31 · Section 656

[656] What is emptiness of foundation (adhiṭṭhānasuñña)? The foundation of renunciation (nekkhamma) is empty of sensual desire; the foundation of non-ill will is empty of ill will; the foundation of the perception of light (ālokasaññā) is empty of dullness and drowsiness; the foundation of non-distraction is empty of restlessness; the foundation of the defining of dhammas (dhammavavatthāna) is empty of doubt; the foundation of knowledge (ñāṇa) is empty of ignorance; the foundation of gladness (pāmujja) is empty of discontent; the foundation of the first jhāna is empty of the hindrances (nīvaraṇa) … the foundation of the path of arahantship is empty of all defilements. This is emptiness of foundation.
