[69] There are another four kinds of development (bhāvanā): development as seeking (esanābhāvanā), development as obtaining (paṭilābhabhāvanā), development as single taste (ekarasābhāvanā), and development as repeated practice (āsevanābhāvanā).
What is development as seeking? For all who are entering upon concentration (samādhi), the states born there are of a single taste: this is development as seeking.
What is development as obtaining? For all who have attained concentration (samādhi), the states born there do not exceed one another: this is development as obtaining.
