[95] Wisdom (paññā) in the discernment of conditions (paccayapariggaha) thus: "Ignorance (avijjā) is the cause; volitional formations (saṅkhārā) are arisen from a cause; both of these dhammas are arisen from a cause" — is knowledge (ñāṇa) of the stability of dhammas (dhammaṭṭhitiñāṇa).
Wisdom in the discernment of conditions thus: "In the past period too, in the future period too, ignorance is the cause; volitional formations are arisen from a cause; both of these dhammas are arisen from a cause" — is knowledge of the stability of dhammas.

Consciousness is the cause; name-and-form (nāmarūpa) is arisen from a cause. Name-and-form is the cause; the six sense bases (saḷāyatana) are arisen from a cause. The six sense bases are the cause; contact (phassa) is arisen from a cause. Contact is the cause; feeling (vedanā) is arisen from a cause.
