When the Lord of the World (lokanātha), the Leader Padumuttara, had attained final Nibbāna,
with a confident mind (citta), glad at heart, I gave a lion throne (sīhāsana).
Having made offering there with many perfumes and garlands
— [an offering] that brings happiness in the world beyond —
many people are quenched.
With a confident mind, glad at heart, having venerated the supreme Bodhi (tree),
for a hundred thousand aeons (kappa) I was not reborn in a bad destination (duggati).
In the fifteen-thousandth aeon [from now] there were eight
kings, wheel-turning monarchs (cakkavatti), all bearing the name Siluccaya.
The four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā), and also these eight liberations (vimokkha),
and the six superknowledges (abhiññā) have been realized; the Buddha's teaching has been fulfilled.
Thus indeed did the Venerable Sīhāsanadāyaka Thera speak these verses.
The Apadāna of Sīhāsanadāyaka Thera is concluded.
