[178] The Blessed One Anomadassī,
lord of the two-footed, bull among men,
for the sake of happiness in the present life,
walked in meditation in the open air.
When he lifted up his foot,
the flowers stood resplendent upon his head;
confident in mind (citta), glad at heart,
I paid homage and scattered flowers.
Twenty thousand aeons (kappa) from now,
there were five persons
named Pupphacchadaniya,
universal monarchs (cakkavatti) of great might.
The four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā),
and also these eight liberations (vimokkha),
and the six superknowledges (chaḷabhiññā) have been realized;
the Buddha's teaching has been fulfilled.
Thus indeed the venerable Elder Maggadattika spoke these verses.
