[208] Seeing the ascetic (samaṇa) as he ate, serene and untroubled,
I fetched water in a pot and gave it to Siddhattha.
Today I am stainless, spotless, my doubt destroyed;
whenever I am reborn in existence, the fruit is produced for me.

In the ninety-fourth aeon (kappa) from the present, I then gave water;[1]
I know of no bad destination (duggati): this is the fruit of the gift of water.
In the sixty-first aeon from the present there was just one, named Vimala,
a universal monarch (cakkavatti) endowed with the seven treasures, of great might.
The four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā), and these eight liberations (vimokkha) too,
the six superknowledges (abhiññā) have been realized; the Buddha's teaching has been fulfilled.
Thus indeed did the Venerable Elder (thera) Udakadāyaka speak these verses.
