[207] I was a monastery attendant (ārāmika) of the Blessed One Vipassī;
holding aloft a nigguṇḍi flower, I offered it up to the Buddha.
In the ninety-first aeon from now, since I offered that flower,
I know of no bad destination (duggati) — this is the fruit of worship of the Buddha (buddhapūjā).
In the thirty-fifth aeon from now I was one lord of the people,
Mahāpatāpa by name, a universal monarch (cakkavatti) of great might.
The four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā), and also these eight liberations (vimokkha),
and the six superknowledges (chaḷabhiññā) have been realized; the Buddha's teaching has been fulfilled.
Thus indeed the Venerable Elder Nigguṇḍipupphiya spoke these verses.
