When the Yāma devas came here
to Gotama, [graced] with the sirivaccha, the mark of glory,
holding aloft a kakkāru flower,
I presented it to the Buddha.
In the ninety-second aeon (kappa) from the present,
since I offered that flower in worship,
I know of no bad destination (duggati):
this is the fruit of worship of the Buddha (buddhapūjā).
The four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā),
and also these eight liberations (vimokkha),
and the six superknowledges (chaḷabhiññā) have been realized;
the Buddha's teaching (sāsana) has been fulfilled.
Thus indeed the Venerable Kakkārupupphiya the Elder (thera) spoke these verses.
The Apadāna of the Elder Kakkārupupphiya is concluded.
