[363] Having come here from Tāvatiṃsa, a youth named Maṅgala,
I took a mandārava flower and held it above the head
of Vipassī, the great seer (mahesi), as he sat in concentration (samādhi);
having held it for seven days, I returned again to the world of the devas (devaloka).
In the ninety-first aeon from now, since I worshipped that Buddha,
I know of no bad destination (duggati): this is the fruit of worship of the Buddha.
The four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā), and also these eight liberations (vimokkha),
and the six superknowledges (abhiññā) have been realized: the Buddha's teaching (sāsana) has been fulfilled.
Thus indeed did the Venerable Elder Mandāraviya speak these verses.
