[246] The Leader of the World was setting forth
with thousands of those whose taints (āsava) were destroyed (khīṇāsava);
holding aloft a viravi flower,
I presented it to the Buddha.
In the ninety-first aeon from now,
since I made worship with that flower,
I know of no bad destination (duggati) —
this is the fruit of worship of the Buddha (buddhapūjā).
The four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā),
and also these eight liberations (vimokkha),
the six superknowledges (chaḷabhiññā) have been realized;
the Buddha's teaching has been fulfilled.
Thus indeed the Venerable Viravipupphiya Thera spoke these verses.
