[233] Having gone out from the monastery gate, I spread out a plank,
and I set out water, for the attainment of the supreme goal.
In the thirty-first aeon from now, the deed that I did then —
I know of no bad destination (duggati): such is the fruit of the seat and the water.
In the fifteenth aeon from now there was one named Abhisāma,
endowed with the seven treasures, a universal monarch (cakkavatti) of great power.
The four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā), and also these eight liberations (vimokkha),
the six superknowledges (chaḷabhiññā) have been realized; the Buddha's teaching has been done.
Thus indeed the Venerable Elder Udakāsanadāyaka spoke these verses.
