[251] The Victor (jina) named Padumuttara, the Self-Arisen One (sayambhū), the supreme person,
proclaimed the four truths and taught the deathless state (amataṃ padaṃ).
Then, having gathered bimbijāla flowers in great number,
I offered them up to the Buddha, the lord of the two-footed (dipadinda), the steadfast one (tādī).
In the sixty-eighth aeon from the present there were four [kings] named Kiñjakesara,
wheel-turning monarchs (cakkavatti) of great might, endowed with the seven treasures.
The four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā), and also these eight liberations (vimokkha),
and the six superknowledges (chaḷabhiññā) have been realized; the Buddha's teaching has been fulfilled.
Thus indeed the Venerable Elder Bimbijālapupphiya spoke these verses.
