[252] The Self-Awakened One (sayambhū), the Unconquered, Kukkudha by name,
having come forth from the great forest, arrived at a great river.
Taking an uddālaka flower, I gave it to the Self-Awakened One —
to that restrained and upright one — with a mind full of confidence then.

In the thirty-first aeon (kappa) from now, since I offered up that flower,
I know of no bad destination (duggati): this is the fruit of the gift of a flower.
The four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā), and also these eight liberations (vimokkha),
the six superknowledges (chaḷabhiññā) have been realized: the Buddha's teaching (sāsana) has been fulfilled.
Thus indeed the Venerable Uddāladāyaka Thera spoke these verses.
The Apadāna of Uddāladāyaka Thera is concluded.
