[368] The Fully Enlightened One (sambuddha), golden in complexion, walking amid the market street,
resembling an ornamental pillar of gold, bearing the thirty-two excellent marks—
seated in a splendid mansion, I saw him, the Leader of the World;
holding aloft a kadamba flower, I made offering in homage to Vipassī.
In the ninety-first aeon (kappa) from the present, that flower which I offered in homage¹—
I know of no bad destination (duggati): this is the fruit of worship of the Buddha (buddhapūjā).
The four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā), and also these eight liberations (vimokkha),
the six superknowledges (chaḷabhiññā) have been realized; the Buddha's teaching has been done.
Thus indeed did the Venerable Kadambapupphiya the Elder speak these verses.
The Apadāna of the Elder Kadambapupphiya is concluded.
