[328] The Fully Enlightened One, golden-hued, walking amid the market,
resembling a festooned pillar of gold, bearing the thirty-two excellent marks —
Siddhattha, whose every aim was accomplished, the imperturbable, the unconquered —
having led that Fully Enlightened One in [to my home], I fed that Great Sage.

The Sage, compassionate in the world, then shed his radiance upon me;
having made my mind (citta) serene with confidence in the Buddha, I rejoiced in heaven for an eon (kappa).
The gift that I gave then, in the ninety-fourth eon from now —
I know of no bad destination (duggati): this is the fruit of the gift of alms-food.
The four analytical insights (paṭisambhidā), and also these eight liberations (vimokkha),
and the six superknowledges (chaḷabhiññā) have been realized; the Buddha's teaching (sāsana) has been fulfilled.
Thus indeed the Venerable Elder Annasaṃsāvaka spoke these verses.
