[31] Golden-hued, the Fully Awakened One (sambuddha), walking along the market street —
Vipassī, foremost of caravan leaders, hero among men, the Guide;
tamer of the untamed, the Steadfast One (tādī), the great expounder, of great intelligence —
seeing him, confident and glad of mind, I made a single añjali.
Ninety-one eons (kappa) ago from now, since I made that añjali then,
I know of no bad destination (duggati): this is the fruit of the añjali.
The four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā), and these eight liberations (vimokkha) too,
the six superknowledges (chaḷabhiññā) have been realized; the Buddha's teaching has been fulfilled.
Thus indeed the Venerable Ekañjalika, the Elder, spoke these verses.
