[369] The Fully Awakened One (sambuddha) named Sujāta was then dwelling on the bank of the Gaṅgā;
taking an uddālaka flower, I worshipped the Unvanquished One (aparājita).
In the thirty-first aeon from now, since I worshipped with that flower,
I know of no bad destination (duggati): this is the fruit of worship of the Buddha (buddhapūjā).
The four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā), and also these eight liberations (vimokkha),
and the six superknowledges (chaḷabhiññā) have been realized; the Buddha's teaching (sāsana) has been fulfilled.
Thus indeed the Venerable Uddālakapupphiya the Elder spoke these verses.
