Not far from the Himavant is a mountain named Vikana;
in its midst there dwelt an ascetic with developed faculties (bhāvitindriya).
Seeing his stillness, with a serene mind
I took three campaka flowers and strewed them over him.
In the ninety-first aeon (kappa) from now, since I offered up that flower,
I know of no bad destination (duggati): this is the fruit of worship of the Buddha (buddhapūjā).
The four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā), and these eight liberations (vimokkha) too,
and the six superknowledges (chaḷabhiññā) have been realized: the Buddha's teaching (sāsana) has been fulfilled.
It was thus, indeed, that the Venerable Elder (thera) Campakapupphiya spoke these verses.
