[366] At that time I was a knowledge-holder (vijjādhara) on Mount Himavant;
I saw the stainless Buddha, of great fame, as he walked in meditation.
Placing three kesara flowers upon my head, I then
approached the Fully Enlightened One Vessabhū and worshipped him.
Since I did that deed in the thirty-first aeon from now,
I know of no bad destination (duggati): this is the fruit of worshipping the Buddha.
The four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā), and also these eight liberations (vimokkha),
and the six superknowledges (chaḷabhiññā) have been realized; the Buddha's teaching has been fulfilled.
Thus indeed the Venerable Elder Kesarapupphiya spoke these verses.
The Apadāna of the Elder Kesarapupphiya is concluded.
