[253] Standing in the heavenly world (devaloka), I heard the Dhamma of Vipassī, the Great Seer (mahesi);
rejoicing, I spoke these words:
"Homage to you, O thoroughbred among men (purisājañña)! Homage to you, O supreme among men (purisuttama)!
You bring many people across, teaching the deathless state (amataṃ padaṃ)."
In the ninety-first aeon from the present I spoke those words;
I know of no bad destination (duggati): this is the fruit of praising.
The four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā), and also these eight liberations (vimokkha),
and the six superknowledges (abhiññā) have been realized; the Buddha's teaching (sāsana) has been fulfilled.
It was thus that the Venerable Thomaka the Elder spoke these verses.
