Knowing my intention, the Teacher,
the supreme leader of the world,
approached me by psychic power (iddhi)
with a mind-made body.
When the Teacher, the supreme among men,
had approached, I paid homage to him,
and with a confident mind (citta), glad at heart,
I gave a handful of sesame.
In the ninety-first aeon (kappa) from the present,
when I gave that gift,
I know of no bad destination (duggati):
this is the fruit of the handful of sesame.
In the sixteenth aeon from the present
there was a khattiya named Gandhiya,
endowed with the seven treasures,
a wheel-turning monarch (cakkavatti) of great power.
The four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā),
and also these eight liberations (vimokkha),
the six superknowledges (abhiññā) have been realized:
the Buddha's teaching has been fulfilled.
Thus indeed the Venerable Elder Tilamuṭṭhiya spoke these verses.
