[282] With confident heart, with my own hands,
I built a bridge upon the great road
where it was rough, so that the world
might cross over.
In the ninety-first aeon from the present,
since I made that bridge,
I have known no bad destination (duggati):
this is the fruit of the gift of a bridge.
In the fifty-fifth aeon from the present,
I was one — Samogata —
endowed with the seven treasures,
a wheel-turning monarch (cakkavatti) of great power.
The four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā)
and also these eight liberations (vimokkha),
the six superknowledges (chaḷabhiññā), have been realized;
the Buddha's teaching (sāsana) has been fulfilled.
Thus indeed the Venerable Taraṇiya the Elder spoke these verses.
The Apadāna of Taraṇiya the Elder is concluded.

the single white lotus (ekapuṇḍarī), together with the bridge (setu) —
forty-two verses,
counted by the discerning.
