[281] At that time there was the Self-Existent One (sayambhū) named Romasa, possessed of radiance;⁴
a white lotus (puṇḍarīka) was given by me with a serenely confident mind.
In the ninety-fourth aeon (kappa) from now I then gave the white lotus;
I know of no bad destination (duggati) — this is the fruit of the white lotus.

The four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā), and these eight liberations (vimokkha) as well,
and the six superknowledges (abhiññā) have been realized; the Buddha's teaching (sāsana) has been fulfilled.
Thus indeed the Venerable Elder Puṇḍarīka¹ spoke these verses.
