[313] I had a fence (vati) built for the Sage (muni) Dhammadassī,
and I gave protection (ārakkha) to the Lord of the Two-Footed (dipadinda), the Steadfast One (tādī).
Whatever deed (kamma) I did then, eighteen hundred aeons (kappa) ago,
by the residue of that kamma I have attained the destruction of the taints (āsava).
The four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā), and also these eight liberations (vimokkha),
the six superknowledges (chaḷabhiññā) have been realized: the Buddha's teaching (sāsana) has been fulfilled.
Thus indeed the Venerable Elder Ārakkhadāyaka spoke these verses.
