[278] With reference to the Teacher, the Dhamma, and also the Saṅgha of the Great Seer (mahesī),²
I gave a gift of bark-fibre cloth (pottha) to the unsurpassed one worthy of offerings (dakkhiṇeyya).

In the ninety-first aeon (kappa) from this one I did that deed;
I know of no bad destination (duggati) — this is the fruit of the gift of bark-fibre cloth.
The four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā), and also these eight liberations (vimokkha),
and the six superknowledges (chaḷabhiññā) have been realized; the Buddha's teaching (sāsana) has been fulfilled.
Thus indeed the Venerable Elder Potthadāyaka spoke these verses.
