To the Fully Awakened One (sambuddha), golden-hued, the receiver of oblations (āhuti),
as he was proceeding along the street, I gave a phārusa fruit (phārusaphala).
It was in the ninety-first aeon (kappa) from now that I gave that fruit;
I know of no bad destination (duggati) — this is the fruit of the gift of fruit.
Truly, welcome indeed was my coming into the presence of my Buddha:
the three true knowledges (vijjā) have been attained; the Buddha's teaching (sāsana) has been fulfilled.
My defilements (kilesa) have been burned away; all existences (bhava) have been uprooted;
like an elephant that has severed its bond, I dwell free of taints (āsava).
The four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā), and also these eight liberations (vimokkha),
and the six superknowledges (chaḷabhiññā) have been realized: the Buddha's teaching has been fulfilled.
Thus indeed did the Venerable Elder Phārusaphaladāyaka speak these verses.
