[307] At that time there was a hermitage on the bank of the river Bhāgīrasī;
to that hermitage I went, fruit in hand, full of expectation.
There I saw Vipassī, like the golden-rayed sun;
all the fruit that I had I gave to the Teacher.
In the ninety-first aeon (kappa) from the present, when I gave that fruit,
I have known no bad destination (duggati): this is the fruit of the gift of fruit.
The four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā), and these eight liberations (vimokkha),
and the six superknowledges (chaḷabhiññā) have been realized; the Buddha's teaching (sāsana) has been fulfilled.
Thus indeed the Venerable Phaladāyaka the Elder spoke these verses.
