Having seen the Buddha Atthadassī, of great fame, in the midst of the forest,
with a confident mind, glad at heart, I gave a fruit of the milakkhu.¹
In the eighteen-hundredth aeon from the present, since I then gave that fruit,
I know of no bad destination (duggati): this is the fruit of the gift of fruit.
Welcome indeed was my coming into the presence of my Buddha;
the three true knowledges (vijjā) have been attained; the Buddha's teaching (sāsana) has been done.
My defilements (kilesa) have been burned away; all existences (bhava) have been extirpated;
like an elephant that has burst its bonds, I dwell without taints (āsava).
The four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā), and also these eight liberations (vimokkha),
the six superknowledges (chaḷabhiññā) have been realized; the Buddha's teaching has been done.
Thus indeed the Venerable Elder Milakkhuphaladāyaka spoke these verses.
The Apadāna of the Elder Milakkhuphaladāyaka is concluded.
