[58] Having seen, in the midst of the forest,² the Buddha Atthadassī of great fame,
with a confident mind, glad at heart, I gave a fruit of the milakkhu tree.¹
It was eighteen hundred aeons ago that I gave that fruit;
I know of no bad destination: this is the fruit of the gift of fruit.
My defilements (kilesa) have been burned up; all existences (bhava) have been extirpated;
like an elephant that has broken its bonds, I dwell free of taints (āsava).
Welcome indeed was my coming into the presence of my Buddha;
the three true knowledges (vijjā) have been attained; the Buddha's teaching has been done.
The four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā), and also these eight liberations (vimokkha),
and the six superknowledges (abhiññā) have been realized; the Buddha's teaching has been done.
Thus indeed the Venerable Elder Milakkhuphaladāyaka spoke these verses.
The Apadāna of the Elder Milakkhuphaladāyaka is concluded.
