[102] To the Fully Enlightened One (Sambuddha) of golden complexion,
the recipient of oblations,
as he was walking along the street,
I gave a wood-apple fruit (kapiṭṭha).
In the ninety-first eon from the present,
the fruit that I gave then —
I know of no bad destination (duggati):
this is the fruit of the gift of fruit.
My defilements (kilesa) have been burned away;
all existences (bhava) have been rooted out;
like an elephant that has sundered its bonds,
I dwell free of taints (āsava).
Welcome indeed was my coming
into the presence of my Buddha;
the three true knowledges (vijjā) have been attained;
the Buddha's teaching (sāsana) has been fulfilled.
The four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā),
and these eight liberations (vimokkha) too,
the six superknowledges (chaḷabhiññā) have been realized;
the Buddha's teaching has been fulfilled.
Thus indeed did the Venerable Elder Kapiṭṭhaphaladāyaka speak these verses.
