[240] Not stiff with pride in my own craft,¹ I went to the forest;
having seen the Fully Enlightened One walking along,² I gave an offering of mangoes.³
In the ninety-first eon (kappa) from now — the gift that I gave then:
I know of no bad destination (duggati); this is the fruit of the offering of mangoes.
The four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā), and also these eight liberations (vimokkha),
the six superknowledges (chaḷabhiññā) have been realized; the Buddha's teaching (sāsana) has been done.
Thus indeed the Venerable Elder Ambayāgadāyaka spoke these verses.
