[359] Vipassī, the Leader of the World, having come forth from his daytime abiding,
wandering for alms, approached my presence.
Then, out of rapture (pīti), glad at heart,
having given a fine packet of salt (loṇasupuṭaka) to the supreme Buddha, the Steadfast One (tādī),
I rejoiced in heaven (sagga) for an eon (kappa).
Ninety-one eons from this one was the packet that I gave;
I know of no bad destination (duggati) — this is the fruit of the packet.
The four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā), and also these eight liberations (vimokkha),
the six superknowledges (chaḷabhiññā) have been realized; the Buddha's teaching (sāsana) has been fulfilled.
Thus indeed the Venerable Puṭakapūjaka the Elder spoke these verses.
