[360] To the Blessed One Vipassī,
the Eldest of the World, the steadfast one (tādī),
a single calf was given by me,
confident, with my own hand.
An elephant vehicle, a horse vehicle,
a divine vehicle I obtained;
by that gift of a calf
I have attained the destruction of the taints (āsava).
In the ninety-first aeon (kappa) from now,
when I then gave that calf,
I know of no bad destination (duggati):
this is the fruit of the gift of a calf.
The four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā),
and also these eight liberations (vimokkha),
the six superknowledges (chaḷabhiññā) have been realized;
the Buddha's teaching has been fulfilled.
Thus indeed the Venerable Vacchadāyaka the Elder spoke these verses.
