[380] To the Blessed One Siddhattha I gave a palm-leaf fan
covered over with jasmine (sumana) flowers; I bear great fame.¹
In the ninety-fourth aeon (kappa) from the present I gave that palm-leaf fan;
I know of no bad destination (duggati) — this is the fruit of the palm-leaf fan.
Welcome indeed was my coming into the presence of my Buddha;
the three true knowledges (vijjā) have been attained; the Buddha's teaching (sāsana) has been fulfilled.
My defilements (kilesa) have been burned away; all states of existence (bhava) have been uprooted;
like an elephant that has severed its bonds, I dwell without taints (āsava).
The four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā), and these eight liberations (vimokkha) as well,
and the six superknowledges (chaḷabhiññā) have been realized; the Buddha's teaching has been fulfilled.
¹ Variant: the Burmese edition reads *mahārahaṃ* ("of great worth") for *mahāyasaṃ* ("great fame").
Thus indeed the Venerable Sumanatālavaṇṭiya Thera spoke these verses.
