[390] The Fully Awakened One (sambuddha) named Ajjuna dwelt then in the Himavant,
endowed with conduct (caraṇa), a sage skilled in concentration (samādhi).
Taking a jackfruit the size of a pot, ripe and fresh (jīvajīvaka),
and placing it on an umbrella-leaf (chattapaṇṇa), I gave it to the Teacher.
Ninety-one aeons from now it was that I gave that fruit then;
I know of no bad destination — this is the fruit of the gift of fruit.
Welcome indeed was my coming into the presence of my Buddha!
The three true knowledges (vijjā) have been attained; the Buddha's teaching has been fulfilled.
My defilements (kilesa) have been burned away; all existences (bhava) have been eradicated;
like an elephant that has severed its bonds, I dwell free of taints (āsava).
The four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā) and also these eight liberations (vimokkha),
and the six superknowledges (chaḷabhiññā) have been realized; the Buddha's teaching has been fulfilled.
Thus indeed did the Venerable Elder Panasaphaladāyaka speak these verses.
The Apadāna of the Elder Panasaphaladāyaka is concluded.
