[74] Having seen the footprint trodden by Tissa, the Kinsman of the Sun (ādiccabandhu),
joyful, with a joyful mind (citta), I made my mind confident in the footprint.
In the ninety-second aeon from now, the perception (saññā) that I gained then—
I know of no bad destination (duggati): this is the fruit of the perception of the footprint.
In the seventh aeon from now there was a khattiya named Sumedha,
a universal monarch (cakkavatti) endowed with the seven treasures, of great might.
The four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā), and also these eight liberations (vimokkha),
the six superknowledges (chaḷabhiññā) have been realized; the Buddha's teaching has been done.
Thus indeed the Venerable Elder Padasaññaka spoke these verses.
