[26] The Fully Awakened One (sambuddha) named Romasa
was dwelling in a mountain cleft;
full of confidence, I gave him a kalamba tuber
with my own hands.
In the ninety-fourth aeon (kappa) from now,
the gift that I then gave —
I know of no bad destination (duggati):
this is the fruit of the kalamba.
My defilements (kilesa) have been burned up;
all existences (bhava) have been eradicated;
like an elephant that has severed its bonds,
I dwell free of taints (āsava).
Welcome indeed was my coming
into the presence of my Buddha!
The three true knowledges (vijjā) have been attained;
the Buddha's teaching (sāsana) has been fulfilled.
The four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā),
and also these eight liberations (vimokkha),
the six superknowledges (chaḷabhiññā) have been realized;
the Buddha's teaching has been fulfilled.
Thus indeed the Venerable Elder Kalambadāyaka spoke these verses.
