[27] Having seen the Buddha in the forest — the Self-Awakened One (Sayambhū), the unconquered —
I took a hog-plum (ambāṭaka) and gave it to the Self-Awakened One.
In the thirty-first aeon (kappa) from now — the fruit that I gave then —
I know of no bad destination: this is the fruit of the gift of fruit.
My defilements (kilesa) have been burned away; all existences (bhava) have been eradicated;
like an elephant that has sundered its bonds, I dwell without taints (āsava).
Welcome indeed was my coming into the presence of my Buddha;
the three true knowledges (vijjā) have been attained; the Buddha's teaching has been done.
The four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā), and also these eight liberations (vimokkha),
and the six superknowledges (chaḷabhiññā) have been realized; the Buddha's teaching has been done.
Thus indeed the Venerable Elder Ambāṭakadāyaka spoke these verses.
