[41] At the Bodhi of the Sage (muni) Dhammadassī, supreme among trees,
with a confident mind (citta), glad at heart, I had a terrace (jagatī) built.
Whether I have fallen from a cleft, or from a mountain, or from a tree,
when fallen I find a firm footing¹ — this is the fruit of the terrace.
Thieves do not harass² me; khattiya nobles do not despise me;
I overcome all enemies — this is the fruit of the terrace.
Into whatever womb I am reborn, whether the state of a deva or of a human,
everywhere I am honored — this is the fruit of the terrace.
Eighteen hundred eons ago I had the terrace built;
I know of no bad destination (duggati) — this is the fruit of the gift of a terrace.
My defilements (kilesa) have been burned away; all existences (bhava) have been eradicated;
like an elephant that has burst its bonds, I dwell free of taints (āsava).
Welcome indeed was my coming into the presence of my Buddha;
the three true knowledges (vijjā) have been attained; the Buddha's teaching has been done.
The four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā), and also these eight liberations (vimokkha),
and the six superknowledges (chaḷabhiññā) have been realized; the Buddha's teaching has been done.

Thus indeed the Venerable Jagatidāyaka the Elder spoke these verses.
