[49] While the body was being carried out,
while the drums were present,
confident in mind, glad at heart,
I offered a satti flower.
A hundred thousand eons ago from now
it was that I made offering of that flower;
I know of no bad destination —
this is the fruit of worshipping the body (dehapūjā).
My defilements (kilesa) have been burned away;
all existences (bhava) have been rooted out;
like an elephant that has burst its bonds,
I dwell without taints (āsava).
Welcome indeed was my coming
into the presence of my Buddha;
the three true knowledges (vijjā) have been attained;
the Buddha's teaching (sāsana) has been done.
The four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā),
and also these eight liberations (vimokkha),
the six superknowledges (chaḷabhiññā) have been realized;
the Buddha's teaching has been done.
Thus indeed did the Venerable Sattipaṇṇiya the Elder speak these verses.
