[237] Which, on that occasion, is moral shame (hirī)? That which on that occasion is being ashamed, is ashamed of that whereof one ought to be ashamed, is ashamed at the attaining (samāpatti) of evil, unwholesome phenomena (dhammā) — this, on that occasion, is moral shame.
