[289] Which, on that occasion, is the joy faculty (somanassindriya)? That which, on that occasion, is mental ease, mental pleasure; the pleasant, pleasurable felt experience born of mind-contact (cetosamphassa); the pleasant, pleasurable feeling (vedanā) born of mind-contact — this, on that occasion, is the joy faculty.
