[290] Which, on that occasion, is the life faculty (jīvitindriya)? That which is the vitality of those immaterial phenomena (dhammā), their persistence, maintenance, sustenance, going on, proceeding, preservation — life, the faculty of life: this, on that occasion, is the life faculty.
