[394] What, on that occasion, is the joy faculty (somanassindriya)? That which on that occasion is mental ease, mental pleasure; the easeful, pleasant experience (vedayita) born of mind-contact (cetosamphassa); the easeful, pleasant feeling (vedanā) born of mind-contact — this, on that occasion, is the joy faculty.
