The eye base (cakkhāyatana), the ear base (sotāyatana), the nose base (ghānāyatana), the tongue base (jivhāyatana), the body base (kāyāyatana), the sound base (saddāyatana), the odour base (gandhāyatana), the taste base (rasāyatana), the tangible base (phoṭṭhabbāyatana) — these phenomena are invisible but impinging.
Which phenomena are invisible and non-impinging (anidassana-appaṭigha)?
The aggregate of feeling (vedanākkhandha), the aggregate of perception (saññākkhandha), the aggregate of volitional formations (saṅkhārakkhandha), the aggregate of consciousness (viññāṇakkhandha); and whatever form (rūpa), invisible and non-impinging, is included in the dhamma base (dhammāyatana); and the unconditioned element (asaṅkhatā dhātu) — these phenomena are invisible and non-impinging.
